We found a new Lake Michigan hot spot southwest of Ludington's harbor on today's charter fishing trip.

Bad weather shut down the fishing on Saturday. Sunday and Monday we found some new water holding lots of fish. Southwest of Ludington Harbor, in 200ft of water, we found 44 degree water 90ft down. This area is holding a mixed bag of fish. We caught King salmon, Coho salmon, Steelhead, and Lake trout. We had lots of action. Program: Riggers, 91ft, 123ft, and 144ft down, with moon shines on the out and downs and a 10in glow blade spin doctor, with a meatless teaser down the chute. High wires with 8in tuxedo and meatless teasers back 250ft. Low wires with 10in glow blades and meatless teasers, back 200ft. Core and half with Moon shine mag bloody nose. Also 400ft of copper worked well.

The morning and evening fishing are both excellent right now. We started fishing on the bank as usual and caught fish early. The west wind brought in worm water and the fish moved out and down deep. We moved the boat out in to 175ft to 220ft of water and found fish 80ft to 150ft down. In the afternoon we started out deep and stayed there all afternoon. We had 2 more excellent catches today. Program: Riggers, 85ft, 101ft, 123ft, and 144ft deep were all productive with spin doctors and flies. Wire divers, lows at 175ft and 200ft back with mag divers and 10in Spin Doctors with meatless teasers. Highs at 250ft and 275ft back with meat rigs. Cores, 4- core and 1/2, 2 with ½ lb weights.
